I didn't say anything about fraud. However, I presume they will conduct a thorough investigation of any suspected fraud before seeking an indictment or arrest.

Also. It’s not about what you say. This all happened under the cuts made by DOGE. Fraud is listed in some of the reasons such actions are being carried out. But evidence of that we’ve yet to see.
You don’t think it’s kinda…odd that we don’t have any details? Like. Aren’t they legally being pressed to divulge anything and, as far as I know, have yet to?
At the start, everybody got upset and worried that people's personal information and tax history would be exposed. When IMHO, they're actually being careful not to expose anyone prematurely.
This administration, like it ot not, is moving fast. Apparently, they know when to slow it down a bit.
They might be used to establish a fake I.D., get a job, establish citizenship, or, yes, they could potentially be used to receive social security benefits.
Again, they have to investigate any SUSPECTED fraud before they can seek indictments or arrests.
I haven't heard of anyone being cut off. The issue is that those impossibly old SSNs are in the database as being active and valid. Active and valid SSNs have the potential to be used fraudently.
Musk admitted early on that mistakes would be made, and a lot of the hoaxes mentioned in the article were perpetrated by online personalities, not necessarily DOGE.
As I've said, investigations need to happen, and they will take time.
