I am from a rural area originally. All TVs have Fox playing in the background. Churches form a large portion of the social structure and they talk about the latest things they saw on Fox. It's an immersive experience.

It's why I want a civil action lawsuit against Fox News. The only reason we are still dealing with Donald Trump is because they willfully lied. They took advantage of people who were undereducated & brainwashed into believing a fairy tale was a real life story.

Our entire extended family on both sides are Fox cultists. They have become increasingly hard to be around. One of my BILs is a right wing twitter troll who trolls Dems on Twitter and calls them names and slurs like POS, FJB, Liars (ironic considering they voted for the biggest liar and con ever)

Even back then I noticed that they ignored a lot of the programming that I would see on other news sites. If there was something that they didn't find advantageous to show, they just would show it. Over the years it has gotten even worse.

Correction: mentally healthy people who are *aware* of things like law and history and who are educated about what the Constitution is and why the oath of office matters wouldn't. But the majority of people are neither aware nor so educated.
