It might be the case that there are real differences between being asked for money by a person you don't know IRL vs. online, or maybe there aren't that many differences, I'm honestly not sure.

The only way we get out of this is if kindness wins. The only way we get out of this is if people earn each others’ trust and goodwill. This coming year we have to teach institutions we require them to trust us when we say for example, trans people know they are trans and deserve healthcare.

On my skyline, under this post is someone looking at people being completely distrustful towards one of the Palestinians who are sharing GofundMes, calling them scams and proving your point!

It doesn't take a lot to be trustful and have some goodwill towards those in need.

If someone tells you what they think about something you don’t have to suspect an ulterior motive until you discover otherwise. The first encounter should always be to just assume goodwill. Let’s try & do that this year. What if they care about you? What if they do actually know what they’re doing?

The right wing especially would like to divide us and make us mistrust each other and they are succeeding. We have more in common than the people who run things. We outnumber them.
