As a Supreme Court, con law scholar, when I see "Supreme Court" trending with THIS Supreme Court, I know it's never a good thing. Aaaaaaand I was right. Fuck.

republicans have been working for decades to destroy our democracy. they've ruined SCOTUS, assisted in creating oligarchs that they knew they could rely upon to use their wealth/power to undermine reality to a point that people would enthusiastically elect a known criminal as president.
Thanks for posting. My company is one of the plaintiffs. This is just until Friday at noon. We didn’t oppose the motion to SCOTUS last night, so this gives us the chance to respond, with the same arguments that convinced the Court of Appeals. So it’s not as bad as it seems on the surface.
One more note - the Constitutional Accountability Center filed an amicus brief for our case citing, among other things, opinions by Roberts and Kavanaugh.
I delayed opening any news on it for the same reason--I knew it wasn't going to be good. And while I didn't hold out much hope for this SCOTUS to do anything to curb the madness--having enabled it all--the teeny, tiny fragment that I did hold just slipped into the void.
