As an aside are there less goals scored direct from free-kicks these days? Or is it that less fouls are conceded in that area? Do they cover set pieces on the UEFA Pro Licence course?

Arsenal probably a good test case for this, who have picked up points in big games from marginal gains through set pieces. Most clubs try ring the towel dry in every area, bringing in specialisms, Anthony Barry has been to Chelsea, Bayern and now England starting as Set pieces also.
