Really bugs me when people call Mother/Earthbound a "dead franchise." Like, it's not dead, it ended. It's fine for series to end. Not everything needs to be an eternally propagated franchise.

Besides, what would even be the point of a new game with that brand if Itoi doesn't want to do another one?
