How does one tackle trigger warnings on this platform? I understand I can label a post as being graphic, but what If I want to tag for something specific like animal death or body horror?

Bluesky has settings to mute terms/tags (Settings > Moderation > Muted words & Tags) - And anything a person mutes will remove any posts with those words in it.
So yeah, like others have said already, hashtags and tw:(trigger) formats would work via followers making use of that. :)
My only gripe with how Bluesky works with this is that it completely removes all posts containing the terms from ever appearing on the feed. I prefer Tumblr's method where you get a heads up and you can opt to see the post anyway so I can make my own call on a case by case basis.
I've always thought the opposite and wished tumblr just did away with them from my feed completely 😂 but it'd be nice to have the option for either one or the other!
I think you just need to type it in the body of the post (i.e. "CW: gore") and flagging it as graphic or suggestive will hide it from people who have that setting on. afaik there's really not much more you can do
Various settings for 'standard' erotica being - suggestive; nudity, adult then the graphic media is for things like gore. So I tend to double up on graphic media and an adult tag for ero guro and stuff like that.
Mute list terms being #bodyhorror #gore #guro #blood #animaldeath so people can block.
A lot of time Blood isn't tagged when talking vampires unless the rest of it is graphic. Using the Graphic Media content label plus hashtags seems to work best.
