I feel you! I mostly post videos with my music too, so it drives me nuts having to trim or compress for both Masto (>50MB) and Bsky (>1 min). Wouldn’t it be great if we could use the same specs across the board?

self hosting makes the mastodon side much easier, my issue is file format.

each platform just cannot handle the files my android produces.
