A variant of the KV tank with a 152 howitzer for fighting fortifications was ordered #OTD in 1940. This tank was later named KV-2, with the 76 mm variant retroactively renamed KV-1. Just over 200 were built before production ended in June of 1941. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII
