I would elaborate a little, the frontend is great, python is a very easy language to pick up. The backend is absolutely atrocious for anything performance sensitive

I’ve made it pretty far with parallelism before needing to worry about raw performance. It really just depends on the use case.

Fair enough. I think Python is planning to get rid of the GIL but I think it’s still experimental

i dont know if they're disabling by default but in 3.13+ you can disable it with the flag `--disable-gil`
(PEP 703 if you wanna dig into it more)
