Someone said yesterday “my son will have to pay £635,000 just to stay on the farm when we die”. Well firstly… not exactly… secondly… how much does that make your farm worth, mate? Bearing in mind the threshold is 3m for a couple.

Strangely, anyone who listens to Farming Today, 0540, daily, will have heard countless farmers over the years, "Don't know what we'll do if we retire. Kids have own careers, left years ago, want nothing to do with farming!"
