A road was carved out in WNC so VOLUNTEERS could get supplies up to Chimney Rock and beyond. But, FEMA installed a gate telling volunteers they could no longer use the road. They tore down the gate so FEMA is contracting a $280,000 gate, w/cameras, and guards to make sure no one “trespasses.”
