it's not that they love lobbyists. they'll grumble about them and their influence all the time. i don't think they're dishonest about that dislike either.

had another 'funny' thought about all this: florida has literally had an unconstitutional poll tax for a good while now that they instituted after people voted to let former prisoners vote. the biden admin avoided doing *anything* about it, both while desantis was running and after he dropped out.
