The church never misses a chance to be petty and wield power over its own followers. No fatted calf for a prodigal. I don’t see any evidence of any godliness I’d be interested in.

She’s passed away already. This is cruel at this point. It doesn’t make the church look good at all. I wish I could say that I’m shocked, but at this point in my life that ship has sailed.

Heartless. Cruel. Unnecessarily punitive. Sad that she let these male leaders have control over her, seeking their approval until the end of her life, and then they flipped a switch to check a box after she had died. They owe her family so much more than this, but oh yeah, they don’t apologize.

The church has steered clear of Mother in Heaven as a topic because doctrinally it causes problems. If a women starts praying to her mother will she finally get offended when she finds out she doesn't know her MIH's name, not because she is too sacred but because there maybe thousands or more.

The church never fails to live up to my minimal expectations. Obviously her subject matter about Mother in Heaven really pissed them off. After all, much of Quinn’s research is now part of those hard to get essays. Please find out who said no while she was still alive.

While it sounds like it could have been handled much better, I’m thrilled by the apparent reconciliation. I would hope that’s something everyone would celebrate.

And Lavina’s devotion to her faith despite all that happened is remarkable. Thrilled to see her back, even if it’s after death.
