There are plenty of man-made spaces that could host solar panels. They are better suited to degraded areas like parking lots and highways. Using land that can be restored with regenerative practices is lazy and destructive.

Better is always good. If it is better…….good. However, people conflate this propaganda with solar panels are good for biodiversity—it is greenwashing. Most solar farms are not better. They are as destructive as a mine.

They also failed to mention that the bulk of large-scale solar development is happening in semi-arid and arid western landscapes, where once the native vegetation is cleared, you basicaly will have nothing but noxious weeds. In some ways, it's actually worse than a mine.

I hope you’re right but fear we’re nearing thresholds that could result in bad things happening very rapidly. There are now many catalysts in leadership positions in our country for making that happen.
