They get a few years of success and now they are “the House”?
Tell that to all the people I know who stayed loyal to them in the 80s to 10 years ago. The chiefs used to be the laughing stock of the NHL. (FWIW, not a chiefs fan)
Literally every team in the NFL used to be bad at some point, give or take the Steelers.
The Chiefs are on a run of sustained success that less than half a dozen franchises can match in their entire history. When a team is this good for this long in the NFL, yes, they are basically the House.
See, I am a Taylor Swift fan and I’ve got a bet with my family that the chiefs will 3peat. So I need them to win.
But @pearlmania500.bsky.social made a solid point. Seeing B Mahomes cry & then having the eagles refuse to visit the White House might be worth losing my bet.
I think the Chiefs are viewed as "the House" because how they seem to get the benefit of everything (penalties, was-that-a-catch, was-that-a-fumble, etc) not just because they're successful.
(Yes, I was rooting for the Bills)

It’s okay to not be the plucky underdog. Embrace your team’s role of Godlike SuperPower while you can.

And with those new details, you win either way!!

But then there the Chiefs.
Man, this one’s tough.
