They're trying to elevate Austen to Shakespeare status - so each 'star' gets to do his version Mr Darcy.

Unfortunately the material isn't strong enough - how many times can you watch a twittering Mrs Bennett or an oily Mr Collins.

There's only 4 main male roles, probably Wickham.
Too severe for Mr Bennet, Jack Lowden as Dracy & then there's soft/wet Mr Bingley.
