problem is, the US is a rightwing-leaning country. the more you are in opposition to this predilection for the past, the less likely you are to have a career in politics. when T***p began he experimented with issues--"sound-bites"--to see what roused the crowd & what did not, like a stand-up comic.

They're a, excepting a small minority of representatives, a woefully ineffective opposition and a center-right party claiming to represent the left. They've accommodated every rightward political shift since the 70s. They've been the (majority) party of empire for over a century. What's not to hate?
