Katana in one (badly slashed) hand, revolver in the other (even more mangled) hand, using your bodyguard's shoulder as a gun mount and no-scoping some asshole trying to assassinate you on the government's orders to help make your escape. Nah, she married the main guy, Sakamoto Ryoma. Apparently they were very happy together, which, you know, wasn't generally a concern for married people in the 19th century.
