I'm sorry but why aren't we making a bigger deal about Michael Winslow (the sound effect guy from Police Academy/real life)? This is nothing short of magic.

Cheech & Chong could have made every movie after Up In Smoke with a script that simply says "Michael Winslow improvs for 90 minutes while we tag along with him and Paul Reubens' Howie Hamburger Guy."
We really need to bring back the "Actually funny people do whatever and stuff happens around them" format of comedy. That is enough. It's always been enough.
Lots of famous people aren't super friendly backstage. I don't like living in a world where pure, unique talent isn't enough to make a person successful.
He was and is successful, I’m not denying that. I’m just saying he’d have been more successful if he’d been a little friendlier - especially for an industry that lives and dies on charisma. (Ben Affleck’s success notwithstanding)
I mean, the man was on AGT as a contestant where he should have been a judge. He's struggling a bit. He deserves so much more. And, sorry, I really don't think that friendliness plays any role in success.
Pressed play on that, assuming he'd just be beatboxing alongside the guitar - nope, the man's an actual wizard.
Everyone's favourite thing about the Police Academy films, too. 😁
Years ago a friend of mine came up with an idea for a movie called “Camp FX” where Michael Winslow is a lawyer who puts away criminals by making sound effects but a new Judge is elected and overturns all his convictions so he has to hide from all the murders at a summer camp.

So, he’s always been the most talented, famous guy in a relatively small niche.

But Winslow was and is a legend. His parts in those movies stand up, even if nothing else does.
That video is incredible 😮
