Plus if QuiGon lives he would take on Anakin... So there's a potential jealousy aspect we could add in. And I believe Obi Wan was so strict because he was trying to fight his own attachment issues.

I'd go with Han and Elzar. I'd really like to see who Elzar could be if he wasn't constrained by the Jedi code.
