In 1939, Soviet Russia, an ally of Nazi Germany, invaded Poland from the east under the pretext of protecting minorities. This same justification was later used in attacks on Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. The Kremlin is using the same old play from its playbook.
