I fear that as the percentage of the population vaccinated drops and diseases resurge, that it will become self-reinforcing: "see? vaccines don't work!" and peel off even more of the population at the edge who were already less convinced.

Lies are so easy, and are adjusted until they get traction.

I was born in 1970. I remember seeing adults who were fiends of my grandparents who had polio as children. They were variously disabled. One man had a wife I never saw because she was in an iron lung. Polio is no joke.
