I'm choosing to be cautiously optimistic about this. If he's forming a bipartisan war cabinet, a red Tory from Quebec is by far a preferable choice over anyone associated with Pee Pee.

I am very curious about why Carney is looking to pluck Charest. On the surface I can only think Charest is a centrist with strong ties to the business community, particularly in sectors like energy and trade. Am I missing something???
