There are a lot of things I refuse to say I'm "too old" for, but I have lost all patience for the emotional immaturity of excusing every inconsiderate or malicious action with some version of "I was hurt."
We all have hurt. We all have our own trauma. Your pain is not a hall pass to cause more.
