This looks beautiful. Did you paint this on wood, and if so is the bare material showing through the darker colours? It kinda looks like that to me.

Yes this is on wood and no I primed this wood with a few coats of white acrylic gesso before I started painting so that's all layers of paint :) but I can see what you mean it does kind of look like wood! I love hearing how other people see it through different perspectives!
