You'll have to address stuff like North Carolina. I mean boots on the ground real help. WNC is still completely devastated, it's snowing and people living in tents. 100% climate related and our government ditched them to die to exposure. People think the govt controls the weather

Here are my suggestions for green populist policies, tax private jets, luxury cars and jet fuel. Carbon tariffs, with the goal of provoking retaliatory carbon tariffs. Subsidizing local Bike manufacturing.

Yes you’re now reminding of this lit, which I’ve read some of… I think the interesting thing might be to connect local level industrial policy and the kind of cost of living/public benefits we discuss in our column. Vs solely focusing on econ developmental outcomes, if that makes sense.

With IRA incentives, many states have decided their clean Transportation policy is to replace all ICE single occupancy vehicles with single occupancy (larger and heavier) EVs. I can’t see any possible future where this policy works out. More people riding bikes and diesel buses please. And walking.
