I love Japanese style pancakes. They are so fluffy and the fixings like whipped cream and fruit are just perfect. Washing it down with a straight cup of black coffee and I can climb back in bed happy.

2. I don’t know what coffee it is, only that it’s and espresso style grind thats about $16 for 2.5lbs. Hard to describe. Electrifyingly thick.

1. 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk, pinch of salt, tablespoon melted butter, tablespoon sugar, pinch of baking soda. All this is mixed together. Whisk in 3/4 cup to 1 cup self raising flour depending on how large the egg was/how humid your environment is. Makes 7-8 pancakes about 5” wide.
