I’d ring myself and pretend I was calling someone and talk about how my commute is really annoying because someone is playing videos and make passive aggressive comments about how you can buy earbuds in Kmart for ten bucks. And then I’d laugh and say “I know right? Always those people!”

A dilemma, for sure. Someone who is so clueless and/or rude is probably not going to respond well to correction. Playing a loud sound yourself would put you in the wrong as well, but tutting wouldn’t; how loudly can you tut? Perhaps at least suggest she turn down the volume?
