they used to call me all the time to join, they opened up memberships to include all adult Canadians, not just retired persons. Glad I never bought into it.

This event happened, and it shouldn't have. CARP's memberships list was used for the invitations. CARP is NOT registered as 3rd party. By misusing their membership list to promote a political event is against Elections Canada's rules.
