I went to 3 Harris rallies last year and it was obvious that she was not getting enough turnout from white men like Obama was able to. I voted against Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024 but I can read a room and see what was missing this time around. Just my observation.

If the Democrats actually had a competitive primary Bernie could have broken through and I would support him but we lost the minute Biden decided he no longer wanted to be a bridge to a new generation of Democratic leadership. The Dems have always been afraid of Bernie.

It's useful to delineate between social left and economic left. Economic left policies are widely popular. Universal healthcare, high taxes on wealth, minimum wage increases, strong labor rights, paid leave, affordable college education, renewable energy. This is how Democrats win.
