I trust Mike Flanagan as a horror director, but I do wish they got someone with more body horror under their belt. Recency bias has me thinking of Coralie Fargeat.

That said Flanagan is pretty good with characters who are stuck in completely hopeless and bleak situations that makes them seem doomed from the start.
