Factual error: SML wasnt de-registered over a lack support, ie. the way parties usually get de-registered here.

They were de-registered because they had mislead the election officials: They had replaced their adjusted platform with a more radical one right after they had gotten their registeration.

In Finnish system the party is de-registered if they fail to gain a seat in parliament in two consecutive elections.

As 2023 election was their first, SML only would’ve gotten removed if they didnt gain a seat in the next election, scheduled for spring 2027.

But like your link states, SML wasnt removed because they didnt gain seats, but rather were de-registered by a court because they seeked registeration with a toned-down platform, but changed their platform back into the anti-democratic and anti human rights one right after they became a party.

It is shocking that any sitting MP would openly associate with Kuru. He has been convicted of hate crimes and right now he isn't popular enough to re-register his party.
