Its not an "echo chamber" too surround yourself with people and things you enjoy. c: your not putting a siren in your room just too make sure its not 'too' comfortable. One can stay informed and keep context without inviting them into your every online moment
I'm getting ready (as soon as I can budget more time for the scanning and curating) to do a 'drawing a day' series, as I REALLY need to start sketchbook work every day like I used to do. I'm tickled that Bluesky has shamed me into getting busy!
Same! I've been telling myself to start drawing again for years and never did. Seeing everyone share their art and how supportive the community is here makes me want to give it a try!
Same. I just posted a big art dump of my entire procreate gallery. Most of it is art that I had previously deemed trash but having people see it for the first time makes me happy.
I had an artist pal who refused to leave twXtter because of the art community she’d followed there. I said no community is worth *all that* agree to disagree?
Happy to be right, and to have found a thriving artist community hungry to engage!
Create! Your echo chamber will reverberate with joy! 🦋
dont worry bluesky is DEFINIteLy not an echo chamber. if you stray off the main path enough you WILL find leftist infighting. dont fall for it. stay loving.
be inspired, and live vicariously through your drawings...I can't draw but dictate what I want. ai isn't the answer to art and true artists are so much better.
Same! Not drawing, but making art in general and also it makes me want to interact and share. And believe me, I was always afraid of interacting it made me feel anxious and unsure if I should share anything cause I am just a "noob" 😅
That's so true! I haven't posted anything worthwhile on Xitter since like 2021 but now I'm really motivated to start drawing more again and to post it here!
Statements like this give me hope. I've recently taken up art after a long hiatus. The malaise I've felt since the election makes me want to recess back into myself and create. Trying to follow Vonnegut's advice to create art daily.
Do the draw.... don't let anything stop you!
honestly i felt this. i hadnt felt this way in a long time and i know that even thought my posts dont gain much traction it still feels much better posting it here. I also really love seeing others work as well
At risk of sounding even older than I am, can I ask you where people normally post? I post my poopy stuff (I’m not an artist, just amateur who enjoys painting) on my profile, but was wondering if people do something else. Have a wonderful day 🙌
Got it, I’ll look for a starter pack…I generally use acrylic so I don’t think I qualify as a digital artist 🥲 Thanks again, you were super kind and helpful 🙌
I think the discover option really just lets people enjoy sharing by just sharing. Which is much better than algorithmic filters and ads. We get to see random people in their own lives and adventures create things!
same I haven't drawn in so long cause I got demotivated by not having even a chance of it being seen but now I've been making art friends who actually wanna chat..art might be fun again.
I'm not 2000% sold on the Echo Chamber tag. I see that a lot of folks here are liberal-leaning, but I'm sure we have more to talk about than what we all know is right.

And I might have a story thing...
But you should draw, regardless. Your stuff rules.

I’m still trying to learn how to draw torsos, it’s difficult but I’ll get there hopefully.
