Who else reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl books? I'm in the middle of The Butcher's Masquerade and can't talk about it with anyone around me without sounding like I've lost my damn mind.

Definitely! A place to go after book 7. Also not sure if you have experienced the audiobooks, what Jeff is doing at sbt is wildly entertaining. After everything, Matt also has a patreon where he's already posting the first few chapters of book 8. I just keep looping the series ad infinitum.
That's how I'm going through them! A sale last week and a returned book I didn't like put 5, 6, and 7 all in my library so I'll probably burn through them all in the next month or so. The audiobooks are VERY impressive and a joy to listen to.
Waiting for bobiverse book 5 last August asking for recommendations and someone told me "Dungeon crawler Carl. Thank me later" I can't even count how many times I've listened to the whole series since. So much detail, so many layers, I catch something new on every pass. It's a blast.
It was someone I met through work, we figured each other out as fellow nerds fairly quickly and I mentioned that I had just finished the Adam Binder books by @drslayton.bsky.social, and he recommended Carl to me. Very different tones, but they pair well together!
