I am genuinely surprised because I thought it was just a bunch of dumb memes and references and a way to create new trademark friendly characters/character variants.
The story was far better then it had any need to be. It's really the first story since MoM to actually consider what rebuilding after the Phyrexian war looks like to different to people on multiple planes
