Get everything up front with a cut of the profit after your country’s businesses do the mining on the back end at a time of your choosing. Preferably after acceptance into NATO. Do not expect any good faith negotiation or guarantees to be honored.

The agreement should specify a third party court to handle disputes. Like, International Court of Justice. Figure out how to measure security. Dollars, people, both dollars and people! Be careful. We wish you the best outcome 🙏.

Agreements should not give all mineral rights at once to U.S. Give phase 1 security performance mineral rights, phase 2 security performance min. rights etc. Include penalties for failure to perform. That is, no further mineral rights until security (and skylink) are provided. Hire someone good!

Make sure that any agreement with the U.S. includes penalties for lack of performance by the U.S. Big ones! Even better, it is common in the U.S. to write agrmts with what are called milestones. "Milestones in contracts" are points in a contract that mark the completion of significant phases. 1/
