I hope recession is the worst of it. I fully anticipate a whole ass crash: a deflationary spiral leading to full blown depression. The rest of the world should untangle themselves from our affairs, if they can. Trump is also working to crash the US bond market. This is going to be ugly.

Until my fellow citizens realize we are in the same war (obviously our part is not nearly the same magnitude as 🇺🇦, our losses so far are financial and cultural), we have no chance of mounting an actual defense.
Trump has been working to destroy Ukraine for Putin since before his first term.

It is accurate to say that Trump was installed by Putin to enable Putin to conquer Ukraine. His original plan, which came close to succeeding, was just to facilitate and fund corruption. It did succeed here in the US.

Maybe. But the last time idiots in power decided "tariffs" were a beautiful thing, they passed the Smoot Hawley Tariff Act; turning a recession into the Great Depression thst took a decade and a global war to end.
