Good info. Very important. "They don't look for stupid people, they look for vulnerable people" is very important. "Smart" people are capable of falling for these tactics when they think it will provide them safety, support, and security. They prey on your NEED for something.

the goal is to go against the vulnerable for profit and cutting them off from the outside so they always see the place they fall in and remain to control them to make their indoctrination as the only way they would survive and keep living with no confidence to do it on their own.

That is to say if you think you're too smart to accidentally wind up in a cult, intelligence has nothing to do with it! Cults actively discourage critical thinking and often weaponize emotions to keep you in a state that they can more easily control.

I've seen it almost happen b4 they like to take advantage of ppl when they are at their lowest to indoctrinate you. Hell, they don't care if you've lost your parents they will take advantage of that. It's frightening and infuriating at the same time.

Having an education doesn't mean someone can't get bested by a master manipulator.
