The same with Walmart. They have perfume locked up and when you go down the cosmetics isles they have visible cameras, so why do they have an obnoxious buzzer alarm too. I just leave and order online. I’m fine with cameras but the loud noise is intolerable.
Allowing shoplifters was just idiotic. But that was the cities faults as well. And making buying things difficult for your customers was also idiotic. I’ve left a Walgreens before and ordered something on Amazon because no employee was available to come unlock the deodorants.
I’ve seen a report that the plan by CVS is that you would need a credit card to open the locked cabinets. This would make sense and likely work at cutting down on theft, but if they don’t implement it before locking things up, yes, I’d rather buy it online from another source.
He must be new to retail. Before locking goods up, he should ask if the cost of theft out weighed the lost sales. Now that he is crying abt lost revenue, he will cut payroll to make $$. Working people get smacked again.
Duh.
If everything is locked up, you have to have an employee on every aisle so that customers can get what they need. Ever tried to read ingredients on a label through the glass - when the label isn’t facing you??
That is so true about locking up things so people can't get to them easily. Walgreens should start up a non-profit arm to gift to their poorest customers hygiene products at very low cost to cut down on the thievery of necessity, and big time thieves won't have a market anymore if low cost options.

They lock up beauty care products women often buy.
To ask for help because of items being locked up takes time to get or complete shopping.
Often people will just leave the store.
They need a better plan to stop theft!
