Personally, I’d like to see someone like Stacey Abrams of Fair Fight or a female leader of Black Lives Matter. Black women are the backbone of the Democratic Party. National leadership roles are overdue.

Any sort of a loss for democrats in the midterms is simply not an option for democracy in the US. I think this election can be put down to a candidate that only had 3 months, brutal inflation etc. but the democrats only have 2 years now to properly prosecute the case against such a heinous criminal.

Laurence, I’d like to read this article but I dropped the Washington Post after Bezos bowed to Trump. What I do know, however, is the DNC needs a top down rebuild. They mishandled 2016 and they pulled the same in 2024. Everyone at the top to go - Pelosi, Schumer, DW Schultz, and on. All of them.

I just want a fighter. Someone like Howard Dean was amazing. He put forth his 50 state strategy. He felt it was important to compete in every race in every district. This is how he helped win a strong Democratic majority in Congress in 2008. No one has done this since. Such a shame.

Wikler led Wisconsin Democrats were able to undo a GOP gerrymandering, downgrade supermajority to a small lead, and gain a fair State Supreme Court. That is pretty successful imo.

No, and he doesn't know why outstate Wisconsin doesn't vote for Democrats either. He just knows "get people out in Milwaukee and Madison = Democrats win a big race" and is shocked when Republicans run up the score everywhere else Democrats get fucking routed down the ballot.
