2015-2016, I regularly traveled for conferences or for study. Usually a week long, but by the end, I was done after day 2.
Peopling is hard.
Spent the past 6 years as hospice chaplain: and peopling is hard.
I traveled to an event "after COVID" and yet very much during a COVID spike.
I found it negative/ offputting that many people reacted to my mask as if it were an affront. One much older person said he'd give me a kiss if I weren't wearing a mask. (so many flags!) No one was particularly receptive.
i really relate, we just went on a big vacation and the entire experience beat my body tf up. STILL recovering. this can’t be the same meat sack i used to take red eyes with.
I get that, I've put on way too much weight since covid. And when you're down it's hard to have the motivation to do anything about it. I get that too.
