Another way is that they need to reevaluate their priorities. If death threats cause you to change your views or public responses, perhaps a life in public service is not for you.

Yeah, I mean, that’s fair, although could argue that the Republicans are already so captured it doesn’t make much practical difference. A lot of the response though is like “look how cowardly the Dems are”
