During the 1940s, the local authorities of Kleinpetersdof decided to send the Roma members of their village to the Nazis’ ‘Gypsy Camp’ at Lackenbach.

The blacksmith’s brother, the farm labourer, was not so lucky.

He & his family were deported to the ‘Gypsy Camp’ at Lackenbach (pictured).
All were murdered in the Nazi genocide of the Roma people.
