They said there were no planes there, they also said 7 of 8 missiles were shot down. We can clearly see they are lying about the missiles being shot down so likely lying about the planes as well.

I don't see them firing missiles off unless there was something there, they know how limited these are in supply. You can hear 8 distinct explosions so every missile hit, Russia lying about shoot downs is a good sign.
