The young ones, Blackadder, Red Dwarf and Whose Line Is It Anyway were some of the earliest comedy tv I ever watched with my parents and I hold them in my heart. β€οΈ
The limited choice of channels meant 80s TV was much more of a family bonding experience. Other than meals, things like gameshows and sitcoms were the best times to engage with each other. Now everybody is in their own rooms, watching their own things on their own screens.
It was British tele on Friday nights on the public station for me too, but it was with my dad. Monty Python, Black Adder, Red Dwarf, and The Young Ones. Good memories.
#ofmd is a beautifully told love story, the writing, the acting, the music,β¦
Watched it many times, still cry at the Chain scene, my breath is taken away when you first see Ed without a beard. The episode where Ed & Stede finally get it on is so beautiful - so much going on emotionally.
Thank you

Your mum did such a wonderful job with you.
I'm the mother of a son myself. It shows, you know, how much she loved you. xo
