I worry that A-level are a more engaged group than GCSE. In my experience of results days, you spend your time with the more vulnerable ones. I think if I were a leader, I’d be doing everything I can to ensure they are still in school and getting support that day.

Happy to accept that there are lots of ways through!
And, frankly, if it gets rid of "twins jumping in the air with envelope photos", it's a win, right?
You can do all the comms you can before the day, but there are those who don’t engage, and when the results come it’s only then parents galvanise/it hits home that their plan A, B and C have vanished.
Face to face it is…
It’s hard enough NOW, I fear this makes it harder.
A clear offer of support on the day obviously helps.
