A thing I'm really happy to see - no more mixing zones, and a new split phase at 29th St due to increased volume of vehicles turning. DOT thinks that is justified here (it should be everywhere!)

It sounds like DOT is ready to hit the ground running in "spring" - They avoided re-marking some streets after resurfacing in 2024 (gasp!) in anticipation of this change.

(my question - why didn't it happen last year then?)

It's not a "new" bike lane project, but still clear improvements to the bike network. I'm happy with this overall.

Great news! The extra wide lanes DOT have been installing really do make a huge difference in making the lanes more comfortable to ride in and easier for ebikes and manual bikes to better share the space!

Yes. Q/A at 29m "In light of that we put down some temporary markings - I think a lot of people were upset of the condition of the buffer, but that was an effort to reduce the amount of line removal we would need to do this year"

I'm a huge fan of these double-wide designs, they change the feeling of cycling so much and give space to relax in the bike lane.

I really enjoy 10th (and even a few blocks of 9th Ave that have this treatment) which I ride regularly.
