They've always played him that way. In the campaign for his first term I was screaming this every damn time they did it. Ignoring the danger he's always posed in favor of laughs. Despicable.

Weird watching SNL Trump now. Even though they actually hit him on a lot of his worst moves, the overall impact still seems to make him more of a blustery clown than what is actually happening — A dangerous blustery clown.
