Instead he thinks that Bonhoeffer remained a pacifist and was not actually involved in the resistance beyond passing messages to the outside eccumenical church.

I am not involved deeply enough in the academic study of Bonhoeffer to know if this is going to change many minds.

But I suspect that the very idea of a "Bonhoeffer moment" that suggests that there is a point when Christian ethics no longer apply will mean that the common perception of Bonhoeffer has been too firmly shaped to alter common perception around Bonhoeffer.

I do think that the evidence presented makes a lot of sense to me. I am not an academic scholar of Bonhoeffer, but I have read enough to follow the argument well and I was convinced.

But I also lean pretty strongly toward pacifism as a theological approach already.
